Non League Podcast Episode 23 Available Now

This week’s Non League Podcast is now available for download. Titled “To Me, To You, To Me” we focus on the mini managerial merry-go-round from the past week, which saw Edgar Davids leave Barnet, while the goings-on at Kidderminster and Chester got us talking.

Also on the show, the usual news round-up, hattrick watch and our team(s) and player of the week. The And Finally this week looks at Brightlingsea Regent, the essex club who bought a new stand on eBay.

You can listen to the episode online, or download it on the podcast’s website, or subscribe to it on iTunes.

You can contribute to the show by suggesting a news item or story to talk about, or by submitting a hattrick to Libby’s hattrick watch. Just tweet us (links below) using #hattrickwatch and we will credit you on the show. Alternatively, email .

Non League Podcast Episode 22 Out Now

The latest episode of The Non League Podcast is now available to download. Rather cheekily entitled “Check Your Balls!”, there’s a lot to talk about, as I return after a week away to join Kristan and Rob. No Tom on this episode, as he was otherwise disposed. It still clocks in as our longest show yet, but we enjoyed it and hope you do too.

The top story this week is the bad news coming out of Edgar Street, as Hereford United are served with a winding-up petition. We debate what the best course of action could be, and the possible outcome when the case is heard later this month.

Also up for discussion:

  • Managerial changes at Kidderminster and Chester,
  • Team and Player of the week,
  • Sexuality in football,
  • Hattrick Watch (thanks as always to Libby for the research)
  • Male Uprising Guernsey’s charity photos

Plus all the usual banter and tangents! And make sure you stay to this week’s And Finally, as there’s a complete breakdown from all parties!

To contribute to the show, get in touch on twitter via the links below. To notify us of a hattrick in a game you’re at, make sure you include the hashtag #hattrickwatch.

Non League Podcast 21 Out Now

Episode 21, “Tom’s Battery Dies”, of the Non League Podcast is now available to download. Due to work commitments, I was unable to record this week unfortunately. However, Tom Snee made a welcome return to the podcast, while my Press colleague at Hampton & Richmond Borough Rob Overfield makes his debut on the show. Read the rest of this entry

Non League Podcast Episode 18 Out Now

The latest episode of Non League Podcast is out now.

In Episode 18, myself and Kristan discuss the spot fixing and betting scandals that have hit nonleague football in recent times. Also, regular features hattrick watch and managerial merry-go-round, and a new feature called Team of the Week. Not a best XI, but the team that got the result of the day in our opinion.

Also, FC United’s issues prior to their 2-0 win at AFC Fylde, good news for Salisbury City and Gloucester City, and the goalkeeper who’s turning his talents from the pitch to the squared circle!

You can download the podcast on iTunes, or listen to it on the podcast website.

As always, a huge thank you to Libby Clark for her research for the running order and hattrick watch. You can follow Libby, Kristan and the podcast on twitter:

Latest Non League Podcast Out Now

For the last few weeks, I have been a regular on the Non League Podcast. The show is now up to episode fourteen, and can be downloaded from the links at the bottom of the article.

On it, myself and Kristan Smith (@kwisstan) have plenty to discuss, despite a relatively slow week. Strange goings-on in the Barnet and Kidderminster goalmouths, controversy at Colwyn Bay and Forest Green’s new manager. Also, a rather lengthy chat about goal line technology, even though it wasn’t on the running order! All that plus new stadia and regular feature Hat-trick Watch. Thanks as always to Libby Clarke (@libsterclarke) for her tireless research towards the hattrick watch and other content.

So, download it and give it a listen. And please don’t be shy. Leave us a comment and tell us what you think, or if there’s a story you think we might have missed and should cover. And if there’s a hattrick at your game, be sure to tweet myself (@undertheleague) or the show (@nonleaguepod) using #hattrickwatch and we will credit you when we mention it.
