Non League Podcast Episode 72 Out Now
England C, Bideford and more on this week’s podcast.
This week, Kristan is joined by Rob and myself to discuss the latest goings-on in the world of non league football. Top story is the frankly ridiculous news that broke during the week concerning England C. FA chief Brian Barwick is supposedly considering axing the semi-professional international side as he tries to cut costs in order to fund grassroots football. Erm? Needless to say, we are not happy about it!
Elsewhere, there’s financial trouble at Bideford, North Ferriby United are put up for sale three weeks after winning the FA Trophy, and Kingstonian goalkeeper Rob Tolfrey is finally punished for his altercation with Bognor fans in February. There’s also the usual tip of the hat to this week’s hattrick heroes.
Oh, and then there’s the And Finally. This week, we focus on the Clitheroe striker who scored – after the match! Rob pretty much suffers complete breakdown during this section as the puns and jokes naturally surface! I’d advise caution before listening to the final eight minutes, especially if you have kiddies nearby.
