Faversham Town are the Goal Kings!

Faversham Town are on an incredible run of goalscoring form that puts most top sides to shame.

If you want goals guaranteed when you go to watch football, then there is only one club you should be looking out for: Faversham Town.

The Isthmian Division One South club’s 4-0 win at South Park on Saturday January 17th not only saw them keep pace with league leaders Burgess Hill Town, it also extended their phenomenal form in front of goal.

The Lilywhites have now scored in every league match this season, making them the only team in the top eight tiers of English football to do so. They have netted an amazing seventy nine goals in thirty league games so far, one more than they managed in the whole of last season.

However, that is not the incredible thing. They have now scored in every league match since March 31st 2014! That day saw them draw 0-0 at Hastings United, but they haven’t drawn a blank since. The victory at South Park has now extended the run to an incredible thirty six matches.

Of course, now I’ve written this, Saturday’s game against Whistable Town will see that run end!

About James Bartaby

Hey, I'm James and I'm relatively new to non-league football, having only taken in my first match in September 2011. Despite it being a 0-4 defeat for Hampton & Richmond Borough, I became a huge fan of the club and NL in general. So much so that they are now the first club that I mention when talking about which team I support! I just got massively disillusioned with top flight football in this country and the attitudes of the lawmakers and top clubs in general, and I wanted to start taking my son to see decent football. I am now the club's Deputy Press Officer, and loving every minute!
