Seagulls Re-sign Macca

Weston-Super-Mare are delighted to announce the permanent signing of striker, Marc McGregor from Blue Square North side, Worcester City.

The 33-year-old former Seagull returns for yet another spell at the Woodspring Stadium. McGregor will go straight into the squad for tomorrow’s game against Maidenhead United at Woodspring Stadium.

Manager, Craig Laird believes McGregor will bring some much-needed experience to a young squad and a very young attack.

Speaking to the local press, Laird said, “Marc gives us that experienced old head we have been missing. We have some good young strikers at the club and they just need someone to show them the ropes and teach them about certain situations.

“Marc has a wise old head on him and he will give us that know-how we have been lacking at times.”

The move comes a few days after Academy duo Tom Seely and Jory Cureton signed to be legible for first team games, with Seely making his debut in The Seagulls 2-1 victory over Staines Town.

About James Bartaby

Hey, I'm James and I'm relatively new to non-league football, having only taken in my first match in September 2011. Despite it being a 0-4 defeat for Hampton & Richmond Borough, I became a huge fan of the club and NL in general. So much so that they are now the first club that I mention when talking about which team I support! I just got massively disillusioned with top flight football in this country and the attitudes of the lawmakers and top clubs in general, and I wanted to start taking my son to see decent football. I am now the club's Deputy Press Officer, and loving every minute!
